UVMILK® Sock filters are highly hygroscopic and don’t absorb milk  

 

How it works: To install the filter, place the filter cartridge on the spring, then put it altogether into the housing. The milk is fed into the filter housing through the inlet in the cap and passes through the filter under the pump pressure. Pure milk comes out through a branch pipe in the lower housing cover.

The filtering cartridge looks like a sock with a smoothed surface. The material is rolled through heated rolls and the fibers get sintered to the surface, which eliminates the loss of fibers. The milk flows through the branched channels of the filter cloth, moving evenly over the layers. The seams are laser soldered, which guarantees their strength and tightness, preventing any small mechanical impurities from contaminating the milk.

  • Install the filter in the hose after the receiver jar and the pump
  • Cut the hose where you are going to install the housing, and fasten the connection kit with clamps
  • Install the housing into the milking system by connecting the inlet and outlet connections to the caps and to the filter housing
  • To install the filter into housing you need to put filter cartridge on the spring inside the housing
  • Milk enters the filter housing through the top inlet pipe in the housing cap and passes under pressure through the filter cartridge. Pure milk comes out through the outlet in the bottom cap

  • Use UVMILK® Sock filters right after milking while milk is warm to prevent dissolution of impurities.
  • WARNING: The spring must be screwed in straight to avoid filter tearing. Do not tilt the filter while fixing.
  • To avoid hydraulic impact, after you install the filter first open the “ВХОД” (input), and then, when the housing fills up with milk, gradually open the “ВЫХОД” (output).
  • One filtering sock should be used for one milking only.
  • After the declared amount of milk passes through the filter or after you finish milking, remove the replaceable filtering sock and dispose it together with other solid waste.
  • The system should be washed after each milking and a new filtering sock should be installed for the next milking to prevent bacterial growth and milk going sour.

We used to use sock filters of another manufacturer but we had to change them several times while milking at each milking line. We started using UVMILK® sock filters which are more convenient to install and change.
