Magnetic separator UVMILK

UVMILK magnetic separators are a round or rectangular housing-holder of magnetic rods through which bulk raw materials are sifted. The induction power of several rods simultaneously, sufficient filtration area and optimal distance between them ensure effective retention of random metal inclusions from the poured stream.

With a significant amount of metal and ferromagnetic particles, it is recommended to use a self-cleaning magnetic separator housing, the captured particles from which fall off when the rods are removed after pouring has stopped. The number of stops for cleaning is determined in accordance with the specifics of production and is recorded in the technical regulations of the enterprise.

Magnetic filter UVMILK

The UVMILK magnetic filter is often used in the production of chemical and food products, for example, for filtering glazes, jams and fillings. In addition to filtering raw materials and products from fibers, lumps and mechanical inclusions with a perforated UVMILK filter element, this filter also retains fragments of metal shavings, which is not possible for filters without a magnetic rod.

The filter is made of perforated stainless steel sheet with a wall thickness of 1.2 to 2 mm and a pore size of 500 microns, which ensures effective filtration and high structural strength. The magnetic collector collects small metal particles, and at the output you receive purified liquid and equipment protection from breakdowns at further stages of production.

Magnetic filter UVMILK with heating

The slotted filter element of the UVMILK magnetic filter with heating is made of stainless steel pipe or sheet with a wall thickness of 2 to 3 mm, which guarantees increased strength and durability of the structure. High speed and efficiency of filtration are ensured by maintaining the temperature and viscosity of the purified product by the heated filter housing.

Water, steam or other liquid approved for this production and not reacting with stainless steel are used as a heat carrier. The use of the UVMILK magnetic filter with heating prevents solid mechanical particles from entering the units of pumps, meters and other equipment due to the filtration fineness of 180 microns.

  1. Fix the filter element to the seat of the lower cover
  2. Tightly screw the magnetic rod into the cover at the required height
  3. Place the silicone seal exactly in the groove of the cover
  4. Connect the housing to the lower cover with a clamp clamp
  5. Place the silicone seal along the upper edge of the housing
  6. Close the filter cover with a magnet and secure with a clamp clamp

Economic justification

The plant produces a wide range of glazed confectionery products. The chocolate mass contains grits and particles of metal shavings formed as a result of grinding. If such particles get into the nozzles of the glazing machine, the line will stop. The cost of repairing the line is 1700 €. The lost profit will be about 2000 tons X 4 € = 8000 € per day.

Using a UVMILK magnetic filter with a heating jacket and a magnetic catcher allows you to remove metal inclusions and clean the glaze from large impurities and lumps of 250 microns in size. By investing about 1100 € in a filtration system at a time, you can ensure the operation of the glazer in accordance with the established regulations and guarantee the safety of the finished product. Payback period of the filter: 1 day.
