How it works: The filter looks like a food-grade stainless steel construction with a double perforated bottom with a mesh layer for milk filtration. The holes in the perforated internal filter are staggered to ensure structural rigidity. The mesh layer retains litter, food, insects and other coarse dirt. Sieve dairy UVMILK® XL filter should be placed on the tank hatch for short-term or long-term milk storage. The dirty milk is poured into the filter and distributed over the entire inner surface. Then milk passes through the mesh bottom of the filter into the tank and gets clean from large mechanical impurities. 

UVMILK® XL filters are recommended to be used as the first level when pouring milk to prevent the dissolution of impurities and the ingress of mechanical impurities into the units and assemblies of the milk line. The filter should be used for the declared milk volume only. The total operating time of the filter in the milk receiving or storage system should not exceed 5 hours to exclude the growth of pathogenic microflora in the filter and a high risk of repeated bacterial contamination of milk.
